Homeless dogs are voiceless in many of our communities and they are in need of someone to speak in their defense. Samuel Gonzalez, an animal cruelty officer and volunteer at several shelters in New Jersey and New York, decided to take on the challenge and be their voice to the community at large. His passion for dogs and belief that there is a need for stewardship of our best friends led to the origin of Voices For Canines Rescue.

VFCR is unique in that we emphasize dog behavior modification within our tranquil facility to achieve our goal of forever homes.

We feel this approach and philosophy leads to more successful adoption outcomes for dogs leaving our rescue. Our dedicated staff provides a voice for homeless dogs and we give them an opportunity to live an enriched life.
